Yamatosa sinensis

Introduction

Yamatosa is an oriental genus with eleven known species from Japan and the Malay Peninsula to western China and northern India and Pakistan.

Characteristics

The dorsal surface of the body is impunctate and shining. The pronotum has basal impressions which are preceded by discal strioles. The eyes are rounded or oval and either full-sized or slightly reduced and elongate. The frontal grooves are complete. The middle and hind tibiae each have two apical spurs.
