Introduction

Hipparchia is a widespread Eurasian genus.

Discussion of Phylogenetic Relationships

Peña et al. (2006) showed that H. fidia, the type species of Pseudotergumia, and H. statilinus, the type speces of Neohipparchia, are nested inside other members of Hipparchia s. s.
